COVID-19 Response

Protocols and Procedures

As always, the main priority at Pulse Sports Club and Pulse Volleyball Club is the health and safety of all athletes, families and staff. Therefore, day to day activities at Pulse have been altered to meet the ever-changing environment we currently are experiencing. Here are some of the changes:

Pulse indoor COVID protocols:

  • ALL participants will need to practice social distancing when possible.
  • Complete all waivers before beginning participation. There is a general release, a COVID release, and a photo/video release.
  • Hand sanitizing and cleaning protocols will be happening throughout practices/clinics
  • All training sessions, practices and tryouts must be paid up front. There will be no payment upon arrival. Go to our online store to purchase your session.
  • Per MDDHS guidelines, masks are no longer required. If you still want your athlete to wear a mask during their sessions, then please go ahead. We respect everyone's concerns and wishes.

Exposure Rules

Primary Exposure:

  • If a Pulse athlete or coach tests positive for COVID-19, you will receive an email from the director of the volleyball club explaining when the exposure happened and what the next steps are.
  • The athlete/coach will be isolated (in quarantine for 5 days)
  • If they are symptomatic or their symptoms are resolving (without fever for 24 hours), follow that by 5 days of wearing a mask when around others to minimize the risk of infecting people they encounter.
  • Depending on when the athlete was at practice will depend on exposure of their teammates. That will all be determined and a communication will be sent to the families
  • If an athlete is exposed at school because someone in the classroom tested positive, then please notify Pulse Volleyball Club. We are very transparent with you. We would only hope you have that same courtesy
    • If you are exposed to a COVID positive case and you are vaccinated you can participate in practice/clinics with a mask on for ten days. Please monitor for symptoms and get tested if necessary. Again, please communicate everything with Pulse Volleyball staff
    • If you are exposed to a positive COVID case and are not vaccinated, you have to quarantine for 5 days from the time of exposure and monitor symptoms. Follow this with 5 days of wearing  a mask around others. If symptoms occur, then get tested and practice proper procedures as stated above.

Cleaning Procedures

Cleaning protocol:

  • ALL balls/equipment will be cleaned before and after all training sessions.
  • Ball carts will be rotated between training sessions
  • Social distancing will be practiced at all indoor and outdoor training sessions
  • Hand sanitizer will be availabe for use for anyone that needs it

PLEASE STAY HOME...

  • If you experience any of the following symptoms STAY HOME!!!
    • Fever (100.3 digress or higher), drenching night sweats or chills in the last three days
    • New cough, loss of taste/smell, shortness of breath, body aches, headache, sore throat, runny nose, nausea, vomiting, diarrhea.Fever, drenching night sweats or chills in the last three days

Cancellation Policy:

There is now a cancellation policy in effect for ALL sessions that take place with Pulse Sports Club (and Pulse Volleyball Club). You must cancel within 24 hours of your scheduled training session or you will be charged the full amount for that session.

**Emergencies do occur and Pulse understands that. If an emergency should arise, Pulse will take that into consideration and determine if the cancellation policy will be applied.

Refund Policy due to COVID-19

Commitment fees:

We understand the concern of COVID-19 and the potential for a season to be cancelled, delayed and/or rescheduled. The commitment fee will not be refunded because we will need to prepare for the season with that money. The money will be used towards the uniforms, court rentals, tournament fees, memberships fees and administrative costs.

Club season payments:

FULL REFUNDS WILL NOT BE GIVEN AT ANY TIME. This applies to the Select and Regional level teams. If the season is cancelled, adjusted or delayed, then any club fees that may have been collected will be adjusted and refunded according to how far along the season has progressed. There will be an automatic 25% administrative fee withdrawn before reimbursements are given.
