2023 Select Team Volleyball Club Season

Pulse Volleyball Select Team Expectations:

• The Select team may add priority events prior to your team selection and/or commitment.
• Select team members may not miss priority events due to other club events in other sports. (ex: travel softball, travel basketball comes second to Pulse Volleyball).
• Select team members will not be expected to miss school SPORT events for their tournaments.
• Select team members are expected to attend 75% of their practices. 
• Select team members must make one practice a week. We understand life happen. But we need to know you are committed to Pulse Volleyball and the team you play for. 
• We understand family vacations happen over spring break and will not penalize anyone for missing those practices.

Pulse Volleyball is committed to creating competitive select teams. To do that we need transparency from our potential athletes and families. We also will be as transparent to potential athletes coming to the club.  

Players must communicate possible activites that may conflict with their volleyball commitment to Pulse Volleyball Club. A player's team selection will be affected by their anticipated availability

Please note, if a player does not specify potential conflicts during the tryout process and fails to live up to the expectations specified above, Pulse Volleyball will consider this a breach of the player contract and grounds for removal from the team with no refund.

We are excited to offer the following Select team options for 2023:

• 14u Select: Completed!! We have a 14u Blue Select Team and a 14u Orange Select Team
• 16u Select:  SECOND TRYOUT!! We are looking for hitters and setters to fill our roster! Tryout date September 25, 2022 at Downriver Gymnastics from 10-11:30am
• 17u Select:  SECOND TRYOUT!! Looking for hitters to round out our roster! Tryout date September 25, 2022 at Downriver Gymnastics from 10-11:30am

Season pricing:  $1895 per player 

Tryout cost: $40/athlete

 Pricing includes: 

1. Club fees, AAU registration fees and MJVBA registration fees
2. Training fees 
3. Facility fees
4. Coaching fees
5. Uniform: 3 jerseys, 1-2 t-shirts, 2 pairs of spandex, team backpack 
6. Tournament fees
   1. Power League x4 dates in winter
   2. President's Day Challenge 2 day tentatively 2/18/23 - 2/19/23
   3. Great Lakes Challenge 2 day in early 3/2023
   4. Queen of the Coaster (Cedarpoint) 2 day in middle 3/2023
   5. Motor City Madness 2 day 04/2023
   6. Can Am Classic 2 day 05/2023
   7. One day tournament in 04/2023 or 03/2023
   8. One day tournament in 05/2023
7. Practices will begin the week of January 8, 2023.
8. Practices will be two days a week and TBD

 **Parents are responsible for ALL travel costs to and from the tournaments during the season including hotel fees for overnight trips!!*

PAYMENT OBLIGATIONS:

Current COVID mandates do not require tracing or mask wearing. However, the environment has been very fluid in the past. Pulse Volleyball Club will be sure to update you if anything changes before the tryout dates occur.

Once you receive the email placing you on the team you will have 48 hours to make the $200 commitment payment. This will secure your spot on the team.

The commitment fee will not be refunded because we will need to prepare for the season with that money. The money will be used towards the uniforms, backpack, preseason training, memberships fees and administrative costs. 

Club payments will be divided into four separate payments starting in January 2023. If for any reason the season is shut down due to COVID we will refund your payment minus 25% administrative fee. 

ALL payments will be completed online through our online store. 

Once teams are set there will be a parent meeting with the coaches to go over rules and expectations of the parents and athletes during the season.
