Pulse Volleyball Select Team Expectations:
Pulse Volleyball is committed to creating competitive select teams. To do that we need transparency from our potential athletes and families. We also will be as transparent to potential athletes coming to the club.
Players must communicate possible activites that may conflict with their volleyball commitment to Pulse Volleyball Club. A player's team selection will be affected by their anticipated availability
Please note, if a player does not specify potential conflicts during the tryout process and fails to live up to the expectations specified above, Pulse Volleyball will consider this a breach of the player contract and grounds for removal from the team with no refund.
We are excited to offer the following Select team options for 2023:
Season pricing: $1895 per player
Tryout cost: $40/athlete
**Parents are responsible for ALL travel costs to and from the tournaments during the season including hotel fees for overnight trips!!*
Current COVID mandates do not require tracing or mask wearing. However, the environment has been very fluid in the past. Pulse Volleyball Club will be sure to update you if anything changes before the tryout dates occur.
Once you receive the email placing you on the team you will have 48 hours to make the $200 commitment payment. This will secure your spot on the team.
The commitment fee will not be refunded because we will need to prepare for the season with that money. The money will be used towards the uniforms, backpack, preseason training, memberships fees and administrative costs.
Club payments will be divided into four separate payments starting in January 2023. If for any reason the season is shut down due to COVID we will refund your payment minus 25% administrative fee.
ALL payments will be completed online through our online store.
Once teams are set there will be a parent meeting with the coaches to go over rules and expectations of the parents and athletes during the season.
Pulse Volleyball Club uses the NEWLY UPDATED AAU Volleyball age requirements for each age division. Refer to the lists below for the age group your athlete would fall under. Please contact Anna at (734) 258-8705 or email her at firstname.lastname@example.org if you have any questions
10 & Under - Must be born on or after July 1, 2012; cannot turn 11 before July 1, 2023
11 & Under - Must be born on or after July 1, 2011; cannot turn 12 before July 1, 2023
12 & Under - Must be born on or after July 1, 2010; cannot turn 13 before July 1, 2023
13 & Under - Must be born on or after July 1, 2009; cannot turn14 before July 1, 2023
14 & Under - Must be born on or after July 1, 2008; cannot turn 15 before July 1, 2023
15 & Under - Must be born on or after July 1, 2007; cannot turn 16 before July 1, 2023
16 & Under - Must be born on or after July 1, 2006; cannot turn 17 before July 1, 2023
17 & Under - Must be born on or after July 1, 2005, OR players who were born on or after July 1, 2004 AND are in the 11th grade during the current academic year.
18 & Under - Must be born on or after July 1, 2004, OR players who were born on or after July 1, 2003 AND be high school students during some part of the current academic year.
**Once a player participates in a club or varsity program for any university, college, community college or junior college, he/she is ineligible to play in the National Championships.**
