2022 Volleyball Club Season

2022 SELECT TEAM INFORMATION (formerly called state team)

SELECT TEAM 16/17u: $1800

Pricing includes: 

  1. Club fees, AAU registration fees and MJVBA registration fees
  2. Training fees 
  3. Facility fees
  4. Coaching fees
  5. Uniform: 3 jerseys, 1 t-shirts, 2 pairs of spandex, team backpack 
  6. Tournament fees (winter season: TBD; spring season: TBD with ending the season at the state tournament in Grand Rapids the first weekend of June 2022)
  7. Off season strength training sessions in November and December for five weeks at the Innovative Training Solutions gym. 
  8. Practices will begin the week of January 3, 2022 .
  9. Practices will run Tuesday and Thursday with times and locations TBD


Select team tryouts for the 2022 club season will be run on 2 separate days. We will be hosting tryouts on August 15, 2021 from 10-12pm and again on October 17, 2021 from 10-12pm. For those athletes that tryout on the August date, we will extend an invitation for you to join the October tryout date. You will not have to pay the registration fee again. 


Final selection for the team(s) will be made after the 10/17/2021 tryout date. You will hear from us within 48 hours of tryouts on team placement. There will be a $200 non refundable down payment due at the time of team commitment. The $200 will be applied to future club fees. ALL commitments will be due 48 hours after you are told your team assignment. 


A parent meeting will take place in early November before the strength training sessions begin. Another club fee payment will be due at that time. The meeting will either be in person or virtual. We will make the call after teams are placed.


All payments must be completed online through our website. **Parents are responsible for ALL travel costs to and from the tournaments during the season including hotel fees for overnight trips!!*


PAYMENT OBLIGATIONS:

Current COVID mandates do not require tracing or mask wearing. However, the environment has been very fluid in the past. Pulse Volleyball Club will be sure to update you if anything changes before the tryout dates occur.


We understand the concern of COVID-19 and the potential for a season to be cancelled, delayed and/or rescheduled. The commitment fee will not be refunded because we will need to prepare for the season with that money. The money will be used towards the uniforms, backpack, preseason training, memberships fees and administrative costs.

2022 SPRING REGIONAL TEAM INFORMATION

  • REGIONAL TEAMS (formerly known as local teams): 10u, 12u, 13u, 14u, 16U/17U


SPRING REGIONAL TEAM TRYOUTS for 14u, 16u17u: season cost is $695


14u: March 2, 2022 from 5:30-7pm

16u/17u: March 2, 2022 from 7-8:30pm


Pricing includes: 

  1. Club fees, AAU and MJVBA registration fees
  2. Training fees for the spring season
  3. Facility fees for the spring season
  4. Coaching fees for the spring season
  5. Uniforms: 2 t-shirts, 2 pairs of spandex,
  6. All tournament fees


SPRING REGIONAL TEAMS 12u and 13u: $500


TRYOUTS:

12u: March 1, 2022 5-6:30pm

13u: March 7, 2022 6-8pm


Pricing includes:

  1. Club fees, AAU and MJVBA registration fees
  2. Training fees for the spring season
  3. Facitly fees for the spring season
  4. Coaching fees for the spring season
  5. Uniforms: 1 t-shirt and 1 pair of spandex
  6. All tournament fees (3 tournaments total during the season)


10u Spring Season: $300

Open gym: March 7, 2022 from 5-6pm

Pricing includes:

  1. Club fees, AAU and MJVBA registration fees
  2. Training fees for the 6-8 weeks season 
  3. Facility fees for the spring season 
  4. Coaching fees for the spring season 
  5. Uniforms: 1 t-shirt and 1 pair of spandex
  6. Two tournament TBD
  7. NO TRYOUT: we will host a 1 hour training session to the first 10 athletes who sign up for the open gym; a mini parent meeting will happen on the court towards the end of the open gym giving details on what to expect for the upcoming season


EXPECTATIONS OF REGIONAL SEASON:

1. Practice two times a week: (times are tentative)

  • 14u: Tuesday and Thursday 5:30--7:30pm at Metro City
  • 16u/17u: Monday/Wednesday 6:30-8:30pm at Downriver Gymnastics
  • 13u: Monday/Wednesday 6:30-8:30pm 
  • 13u: Tuesday/Thursday 6:30-8pm 
  • 12u: Tuesday/Thursday 5-6:30pm at Downriver Gymnastics
  • 10u: Monday/Wednesday 5-6:00pm at Downriver Gymnastics

2. Need to supply your own transportation to all tournaments and practices. 

3. We will be participating in various tournaments in Saline, West Bloomfield and other Detroit area sites in the 2022 spring season.

  1. 4. 12u, 14u, and 16u team tournaments are TBD.  


SPRING SEASON DATES:

  1. 16/17u: Season starts the week of March 14, 2022 and runs through middle of May
  2. 14u: Season starts the week of March 14, 2022 and runs through middle of May
  3. 13u: Season starts the week of March 21, 2022 and runs through middle of May
  4. 12u: Season starts the week of March 21, 2022 and runs through early to middle of May
  5. 10u: Season starts the week of March 14, 2022 and runs through end of April


Tryouts will be held on the volleyball court located inside the Downriver Gymnastics Building. Tryout fee is $40 online. We want to watch our numbers on the court therefore we need ALL participants who want to tryout to register online within 36 hours of the tryout date.


You will hear from us within 3 days of team tryouts on team placement. There will be a $100 non refundable down payment due at the time of team commitment. The $100 will be applied to future club fees. ALL commitments will be due 48 hours after you are told your team assignment.

Parent Meeting

Parent meeting will occur via email. We understand everyone is busy and trying to schedule an in person meeting is often times difficult.


The email will have a payment schedule for the season as well as training schedule for the strength and conditioning sessions and practice/tournament schedule. 

Payments

There will be 4 payments spread out over the duration of the season. A payment schedule will be supplied at the parent meeting. 


FULL REFUNDS WILL NOT BE GIVEN AT ANY TIME. If the season is cancelled, adjusted or delayed, then the rest of the club fees that may have been collected will be adjusted and refunded according to how far along the season has progressed. There will be a 25% administrative fee attached and withdrawn before reimbursements are given.

Pay Now

Practices

Practices begin the week of January 3, 2022 and will end the last week of May in preparation for the state tournament the first weekend of June. Practices will be announced soon!

2022 Regional Team Information

Commitment Payment

  • Once you receive notification of team placement we will need a $100 commitment payment from you.  
  • This payment will be applied to your overall club costs.  
  • You can pay online. 
  • This payment is NON REFUNDABLE!

Parent Meeting

  • Due to the current environment, the parent meeting will be virtually OR done through email communication. 
  • If we meet virtually, then a link will be sent to everyone. 
  • We will also have the complete schedules available for you and discuss all information you will need to be prepared for the winter season. 

Payments

  • We will have two payment dates to pay the club fees.  
  • The first payment date will be in March 2022.
  • The second payment date will be the week of April 2022.  
  • Payments will be made online. 
  • Payment will be:
    • 14u, 16u, and 17u: $297.50 each time
    • 13u, 12u: $200 each time
    • 10u: $125 each time
  •  ALL payments are NON REFUNDABLE unless COVID forces shutdown! Then there is a prorated refund.

Tournaments

  • We will be attending tournaments across the Detroit area this spring season.
  • Please see expectations of the season above for more details! 

AAU Age Divisions

Information

Pulse Volleyball Club uses the NEWLY UPDATED AAU Volleyball age requirements for each age division.  Refer to the lists below for the age group your athlete would fall under. Please contact Anna at (734) 258-8705 or email her at pulsepvc2017@gmail.com if you have any questions

Age Divisions

10 & Under - Must be born on or after July 1, 2011; cannot turn 11 before July 1, 2022

11 & Under - Must be born on or after July 1, 2010; cannot turn 12 before July 1, 2022

12 & Under - Must be born on or after July 1, 2009; cannot turn 13 before July 1, 2022

13 & Under - Must be born on or after July 1, 2008; cannot turn14 before July 1, 2022

14 & Under - Must be born on or after July 1, 2007; cannot turn 15 before July 1, 2022

15 & Under - Must be born on or after July 1, 2006; cannot turn 16 before July 1, 2022

16 & Under - Must be born on or after July 1, 2005; cannot turn 17 before July 1, 2022

17 & Under - Must be born on or after July 1, 2004, OR players who were born on or after July 1, 2003 AND are in the 11th grade during the current academic year.

18 & Under - Must be born on or after July 1, 2003, OR players who were born on or after July 1, 2002 AND be high school students during some part of the current academic year. 


**Once a player participates in a club or varsity program for any university, college, community college or junior college, he/she is ineligible to play in the National Championships.**
